Stephanie Legere

Stephanie has worked in biotech company creation for the last 5 years prior to joining the Genesys team, where she has helped to commercialize new therapeutic technologies to early stage companies. Stephanie is a PhD-trained immunologist with over a decade of laboratory-based R&D experience. She is passionate about the fantastic research taking place in the Canadian life sciences ecosystem, and is motivated to enable the development of innovative therapies for patients.

Stephanie received her BSc Honours in Microbiology and PhD in Immunology from Dalhousie University. Her thesis was focused on the innate immune mechanisms driving cardiac fibrosis following damage to the heart. Prior to joining Genesys Capital, Stephanie completed a post doctoral fellowship at adMare Bioinnovations and has since worked in technology and venture development at CCRM.
